Ever wondered what a mixture of Paramore cleans, Skrillex dubstep tones and the growls of Slipknot sound like? Well Montreal's Era 9 can help you out there.
Describing themselves as "traprock" the band have supported acts such as Trapt, Saliva and Hoobastank since their inception six years ago.
On the bands upcoming album Gravity, which is said to 'ignore genres and take risks'; male vocalst Anthony Lalla says: “We love how our music can bring everyone together and we’re excited to share it with the world. We’ve been releasing music since 2011 and toured across the US, supporting really great bands, and now we truly feel that over the years, we have come into our own with this next opus for fans. We believe that we’re in a new era of music that isn’t limited to one style of listener. We cater to all who open themselves to it! We value creative freedom in music and we promote open-mindedness and imagination.”
Gravity will be released May 5th, you can check out the lead single from the album 'Warrior' below, it's full of hooks, cleans and electro breakdowns. What's not to love, right?
