US Metalcore newcomers Bad Omens are set to embark on their very first tour in the UK this month, after successfully generating popularity throughout their native America performing alongside the likes of Cane Hill, Attila and Asking Alexandria. Comprised of five members; Noah Sebastian on vocals, Nicholas Ryan and Joakim Karlsson on guitars, Vincent Riquier on bass and Nick Folio on drums. The band is currently signed to Sumerian records, which boasts a collective of other successful bands such as Stray From The Path, Upon A Burning Body and From First To Last, and are set to be the next breakthrough act in the alternative music scene.
Bad Omens have drawn comparisons from many to that of Bring Me The Horizon, with Noah’s contrasting strained and clean vocals bearing some similarity to that of renowned frontman Oliver Sykes, but as they’ve proven with their debut self titled album, Bad Omens are a different beast entirely. For a band with only one album to have a sound as ranged, mature and refined as they do at this stage in their career is a testament to how far they have the potential to reach in just one or two more albums time. From mosh pit enticing bangers like ‘Glass Houses’ and ‘Exit Wounds’, to well orchestrated anthems like ‘The Worst In Me’ and ‘The Letdown’, these upcoming live dates are just the start of what is sure to be a triumphant rise for the LA based quintuplet.
Shortly after they grace our shores with their unique brand of alternative metalcore, the band will be heading out to play some shows across the rest of Europe, then onwards to the Vans Warped Tour in America. Bad Omens have a bright future ahead of them, a versatile band able to experiment with different sounds without compromising what sets them apart from the crowd. Definitely one to add to your new music playlist, we’ll be catching them at their upcoming London show at the Boston Music Room on June 20th, which you'll be able to read all about soon after.
