X Ambassadors are back with New Single "Ahead Of Myself"!

X Ambassadors are back after a massively successful run with debut album VHS. Said debut album was released on the 30th June, 2015 and produced singles "Jungle", "Fear", "Unsteady" and "Renegades" with the latter being nominated for a tonne of awards and being placed in TV adverts and shows galore. The band have collaborated with many an artist too including Tom Morello, Elle King, A$AP Ferg, Wiz Khalifa, Eminem, Imagine Dragons and Jamie N Commons. Did we forget to mention that VHS was gold-certified? No? Well it was. After a few months of releasing the odd track the band have dropped "Ahead Of Myself". The song was produced by Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes, Chainsmokers). Lead vocalist Sam Harris comments on the songs release stating:

"It's a very personal song, and reflects a bit of the journey we've all been through as a band over the last 2 years... The song is an admission. It's about recognizing your faults, while trying not to judge yourself or others because of them. Recently, there have been a couple of important moments in my life when I've committed to people, put my faith in people, made promises, and quickly realized that I was in over my head. I thought I was ready, but I wasn't. Those experiences -- those heartbreaks and those mistakes -- were the inspiration behind this song." With X Ambassadors being very experimental in terms of instrumental inclusion and arrangements the track doesn't come as too adventurous but is a promising single to mark this next era of the band. With no doubt that further material will be very different to this it will make every release very exciting. What made VHS so appealing was its general theme and interludes between songs (the songs were banging too). It felt like it was transporting the listener through a journey and fingers crossed we get the same from the, yet untitled, second album! Have a listen to "Ahead Of Myself" below:
