Slam Dunk Turns Up the Heat with Latest Line-Up Additions

While fans continue to dwell under the lack of a midlands date next year, the annual day event Slam Dunk Festival has shared eleven new hot additions to their 2019 line up. Renowned for their colossal pop-punk bands that appear each year, the festival also manages to reel in some of the greats in modern ska, rock and metal.

The first wave saw Baltimore pop-punters All Time Low take the headline spot for the May Bank Holiday celebration. Joining them on the high tiers will be Welsh metal titans Bullet For My Valentine, making their Slam Dunk debut. They will be extending their current Gravity tour and take a headline spot on one of the many iconic stages that will be appearing in Leeds and Hatfield. The group are currently reeling in recent successes, having headlined London’s Alexandra Palace earlier in the month and will surely deliver a ground-breaking performance once again. Hoping to pull in the masses with some brand new acts, never seen before across the annual event, Slam Dunk have also confirmed the appearance of hardcore heroes Glassjaw, Simple Plan and punk rock unit, The Menzingers. Joining these fan favourites will be the Kentucky hardcore unit Knocked Loose, Minnesota trio Tiny Moving Parts and Turnstile, who each will be making their debuts at the festival. Of the eleven in this announcement, Aussie punks Trophy Eyes are the only band to have performed at Slam Dunk prior to 2019. Having just released their third album, the troupe and their fans will be excited to hear the new material air in the UK for the second time. Also due to perform across the weekend will be hotly-tipped rising stars I Don’t Know How But They Found Me (more commonly known as iDKHOW) as well as 90’s emo royalty Saves The Day and The Get Up Kids. The touring event will take place on at Leeds’ new site Temple Newsam Park on May 25 and at Hatfield Park on May 26. Tickets are available now:
