Exciting things are underway in Czechia for this year’s Brutal Assault at Josefov Fortress between 7-10th August and back in December they announced the second wave of acts. The festival promises 130 bands across 5 stages in the 4 days, cementing its’ status once again as one of the biggest extreme metal festivals in the world. Familia names such as Aborted, Carcass, and Metal Church take the forefront of the lineup; alongside New Zealand newcomers Alien Weaponry, as well as Electric Wizard, Toska, and Taake. The bill is set, as ever, to be a dynamic international mix celebrating all things old and new in the realm of metal.
Further down the poster, acts including Meshuggah and Of Mice & Men provide a slight deviation from the usual onslaught of extreme music, while festival veterans will welcome Napalm Death and Myrkur for returning appearances. Previous years have promised and delivered on varied and interesting bills for festival goers, and this year is looking set to be no different with more bands being announced every few weeks.
Tickets are available now from the festival’s official website, at https://brutalassault.cz/en/, and it is recommended to act fast because previous years have all been fast sell outs for the Czechian festival; with metal heads from all over Europe and the World all congregating in the fortress for the week of extreme metal partying. As always, affordable flights to Czechia and neighbouring Poland are available through the usual budget airliners, and we will keep you updated with more information and band announcements as they come in.
