ArcTanGent Festival Announces First Wave Of Bands For 2019!

Following on from recently bagging the accolade of Best Small Festival at the UK Festival Awards, ArcTanGent have dropped their first 39 bands for the 2019 event, and boy is it an announcement and a half.

Headlining the Friday night will be heroic genre benders Battles, a band who has become coveted due to their singular focus and commitment on mixing progressive experimentation with mentally stimulating artistry and sonic technology.

Joining them will be post-metal legends Cult Of Luna and one of the most requested and beloved UK acts, 65DaysOfStatic. Renowned for providing a challenging live gauntlet of electronic post and math rock, their performance is set to be heroes return for the Sheffield champions.

Also joining the lineup are the avant-garde blackgazers in Zeal & Ardor, post-rock veterans Caspian, and the legendary Daughters. They shall also be joined by The Algorithm, Conjurer, Three Trapped Tigers, The Black Queen, The Contortionist, AK/DK, Birds In Row, The Physics House Band, Bossk and MØL.

Also performing are Frontierer, Gost, Standards, Azusa, A.A. Williams, Sithu Aye, Pijn, LLNN, Invalids, Colossal Squid, Aiming For Enrike, Car Bomb, Cattle, Big Lad, Letters From The Colony, Wild Cat Strike, Ogives Big Band, Lost In The Riots, Hexcut, Voronoi and Sugar Horse.

The announcement comes following the confirmation of the Scandinavian progressive metal powerhouse that is Meshuggah, who shall be headlining Saturday night. ArcTanGent takes place between the 15th and 17th of August at Fernhill Farm, Bristol. Tickets are available here, however you might want to be quick as they’re already flying out!
