With less than a month to go before the biggest weekend of the heavy music calendar, the legendary Download Festival have confirmed the final names for this years event.
Joining the already staggeringly colossal lineup are Epica, Elevana, The Inspector Cluzo, Palisades, The Beaches and Blurred Vision. They will be joining the previously confirmed lineup which is being headlined by Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool and also boats the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Slayer, Enter Shikari, The Wonder Years, Rob Zombie and The Fever 333, just to name a few.
The festival has also confirmed it’s final names for this year's exhilarating WWE NXT UK matches. With the full-scale bouts again taking place within the main festival arena, this year will mark the first time that the matches will be tapped and broadcasted across WWE’s respective channels.
As well as the festival bringing back the hugely popular air guitar championships and Doom Yoga, Download has also announced that they shall be introducing the ‘Mind The Dog’ Mindfulness Initiative this year. Inspired by the popularity of the festival's yoga programmes in recent years, the initiative is dedicated to providing an interactive and immersive mindfulness experience, where live music is marred with typical mindfulness techniques and to raise.
Also unveiled today is the full lineup for the Side Splitter Stage, Download's own comedy club. Set to host stand up sets, live stints, musical comedy and everything in between, the stage is set to host the likes of Ed Gamble, Rich Wilson, Rob Kemp, Rachel Fairburn and many other comedians over the course of the weekend.
Download Festival takes place between 14th – 16th of June at Donington Park. With less than a month to go and with RIP tickets all sold out, you best jump on it and cop a ticket before it’s too late.
