ArcTanGent Festival Announces First Wave Of Bands For 2020!

November 6, 2019

Following on from this years wet and wild festivities, the award winning ArcTanGent Festival have announced their first names for next year’s event, inducing their first main stage headliner and two other stage headliners.

Headlining the Saturday night will be none other than the legendary Swedish prog powerhouse Opeth. The announcement comes following the climax of yet another widely celebrated UK tour, with the group currently riding high following the release of their thirteenth full length record In Cauda Venenum. They will be joined by the post-rock heroes This Will Destroy You and the prominent blackened icon that is Ihsahn, with both artists confirmed as being Yohkai stage headliners.

Representing the UK scene in the best possible way will be the phenomenal Rolo Tomassi, with the group performing both Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It and Grievances over the course of the weekend. They will also be joined by the Earth shattering Amenra, the returning tech metal progenitors Tesseract, the jarring Perturbator, Earthtone9, Giraffes? Giraffes! and Frontierer.

Following on from their fantastic set last year, the Belgian dynamos Raktekanon will also be returning for what could be the group’s final UK show, with this announcement coming following the news that the group will be disbanding in the coming year.

If that still wasn’t enough, also confirmed to making an appearance at Compton Farm next year are Gost, Quail Vs Kenny, Scalping, Ohhms, Svalbard, Alpha Male Tea Party, Stake, Curse These Metal Hands, Boss Keloid, Body Hound, Vasa, Luo, Briqueville, Tankengine, The K, FES and Mountain Caller.

ArcTanGent 2020 will take place at Fernhill Farm, Bristol between August 20th-22nd. Discounted early bird tickets are now on sale now but make sure to be quick; the festival has confirmed capacity will not be increasing this year and tickets will sell out well before the weekend itself!
