The wild and scrappy Dune Rats have experienced one hell of year thus far. Despite hailing from the distant humidity of Brisbane, Australia, the Aussie punks have swiftly established a name for themselves on our shores this year following a whirlwind of a tour that also included a stop at the award winning 2000 Trees Festival in mid-July. Even after visiting all four corners of the globe this year, the group are set to continue their streak of success well into the new year, with the trio releasing their third release Hurry Up And Wait on January 31st via BMG.
The announcement of the record accompanies the release of the video for the unchained lead single ‘Crazy’. A documentation of the readily available excess the band experienced whilst recording in LA, the track see’s Dune Rats at their absolute finest, flexing their muscles to deliver an utter haymaker of a hook. Watch the video for ‘Crazy’ below.
Of the new singe, the band say - “Crazy is one of our heavier songs that we wrote over in LA when we were surrounded by a lot of excess. Everyone is doing anything and everything because it’s available, whether it’s taking drugs, eating shitty food or being surrounded by technology. All this stuff at the end of the day, whilst awesome at the time, doesn’t leave you any better off even if it feels that way in the moment."
Hurry Up And Wait followes their 2017 sophomore record The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit, a record that made the band a household name in their native Australia after climbing to the top of the national album charts. Dune Rats will be headlining the London Garage and Manchester Night People on the 3rd and 4th of December respectively.
