Download Festival Unveils Second Wave Of Bands For 2020!

November 19, 2019

The world’s premiere alternative music event Download Festival have announced their second wave of bands for next year’s event and it’s an utter mammoth of an announcement.

Joining the previously announced headliners of Kiss, Iron Maiden and System Of A Down are the Danish ‘rock n’ roll’ juggernauts Volbeat, metalcore legends Killswitch Engage and the Japanese kawaii-metal sensations Babymetal.

On the subject of returning of Download Festival, Jessie Leach of Killswitch Engage has said; "We are honoured and excited to play the mighty Download festival once again! We are ready to kick out our new songs and play the old anthems as well! Download crowds are always incredible and we are eager to bring the mother fucking ruckus!"

Also set to appear at Download next June are the hyperactive Toronto punks PUP, djent pioneers Periphery, reefer worshipping Electric Wizard, riff lords Puppy, the iconic Baroness, stonerpunks Bokassa, the ever so bold Wargasm, math-emo dynamos Tiny Moving Parts and The Wildhearts.

Representing all things heavy within this announcement are the death metal legends Obituary, the returning Dying Fetus, Scottish gloom bearers Lotus Eater, deathcore staples Chelsea Grin and the northern bruisers in Bleed From Within

They will be joined by the likes of Airbourne, The Pretty Reckless, Skillet, Lit, Bush, Wednesday 13, British Lion, P.O.D, Stone Broken, Blues Pills, Wayward Sons, Blackout Problems, Cellar Door, Moon Crow, Dead Label, Powerwolf, Dead Posey, Marinias Trench, Theory, The Last Internationale and Uncured.

All of these artists will be joining the mammoth bill that is composed of the previously announced Alestorm, Black Veil Brides, Deftones, Daughtry, Disturbed, Gojira, Korn, The Offspring and Of Mice And Men.

Download Festival takes place at Donington Park, Leicestershire, between the dates of 12th - 14th June 2020. Tickets and bundles are available here and unsurprisingly, they’re already flying out.
