Phoxjaw Announce Debut Record 'Royal Swan', Premiere Haunting New Single!

The enigmatic and mercurial Bristolian quartet Phoxjaw have today confirmed their highly anticipated debut long play Royal Swan along with releasing their latest single in the form of “Half House’. Released July 3rd via Hassle Records, Royal Swan is the follow up to last year’s brilliant EP A Playground For Sad Adults and set to continue the band’s trajectory into the dark heart of the scene.

Birthed traumatically from a state of cabin fever within Devil's Bridge in Wales, Royal Swan harkens metaphysically back to an eschewed medieval England whilst manifesting thoughts of isolation, claustrophobia, misplaced patriotism and mania. None of this should come as a particular surprise to those who have previously experienced Phoxjaw’s purely unique prowess, but Royal Swan is shaping up to be the group’s most characteristic and idiosyncratic work so far. Watch the video for ‘Half House’ below.

The past several years have seen Phoxjaw making blackened waves in the UK alternative scene, having already shared stages with the likes of Holding Absence, Loathe, Black Peaks, Stake as well as appearing at events such as 2000 Trees, Burn It Down and Behave! Festival.

As for the album artwork, you can see it below. Royal Swans is out July 3rd via Hassle Records. You can pre-order Royal Swan here.
