After being absent for appropriately two years, Lonely The Brave have returned with a massive new single in the form of ‘Bound’ and have announced that they have signed to Easy Life Records.
The group’s first track with Jack Bennet of Grumble Bee fame on vocal duties, today’s announcement is a triumphant return of the band. Displaying all the trademark qualities that made the band so originally irresistible and uplifting, ‘Bound’ hints towards a bright future for the act – a sentiment shared by the group themselves. On the subject of today’s announcement the band as a collective have stated;
"It feels amazing, almost a relief, for us to finally be in a position to share this news. A new record deal, a first single back and an album round the corner. We're thankful to be able to release this and hopefully it can be some respite in these dark times."
“It may have appeared we’ve been quiet publicly but it has been quite the opposite behind closed doors. We never stopped, slowly but surely working towards a place where we're ready for people to hear what we’ve been working on."
“As soon as we'd demoed "Bound" we knew it was a contender as our first song in this new era. We like to think that it has elements of what people liked about Lonely The Brave in the first place but also starts to lean in a new direction. What's exciting for us, and hopefully for others is that it's just a taster of what's to come."
On the back of today’s announcement, Lonely The Brave will soon be announcing their third full length record, set to be released via Easy Life Records. It will be the follow up to 2016's widely celebrated release Things Will Matter.
2018 saw the band enter a period of uncertainly following the amicable departure of original vocalist and co-founder David Jakes due to mental health issues. Prior to this, the group swiftly became significant trendsetters following playing support to bands such as Biffy Clyro, Bruce Springsteen, Deftones, Neil Young, A Day To Remember and many more. Stay tuned for the announcement of said record.
