Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, it’s been confirmed today that ArcTanGent Festival 2020 will not be going ahead as planned. However, the festival will now go ahead in late August of next year.
Originally taking place the second last weekend of August, the next edition of ArcTanGent Festival will take place August 19th - 21st 2021 at it’s home of Fernhill Farm, Bristol. All tickets will be automatically rolled onto next year’s event but refunds are available if required. However, given the circumstances, retaining tickets will help this amazing event survive this devastating blow. Today’s confirmation follows last week’s postponement of ArcTanGent’s sister festival 2000 Trees.
Hosting some of the best talent within the contemporary and experimental alternative music echelon, ArcTanGent has quickly become the modern day Mecca for all things post, math, noise and brilliantly bizarre. Much like 2000 Trees, 2020 will be the first year ArcTanGent will miss a year since it’s inception.
A statement from the festival can be read below.
"OK summer lovers, it’s finally time to call time on ArcTanGent 2020.
We tried for as long as possible to stay optimistic, but unfortunately, we have had to take the incredibly tough decision to postpone ArcTanGent until August 19th-21st 2021. We’re absolutely devastated that we won’t be able to party with you this August at Fernhill Farm. The decision to postpone wasn’t taken lightly and is sincerely the last thing we wanted to do. We were still hopeful of going ahead until last week. However, it has become increasingly clear that the current situation isn’t going away anytime soon and the health & safety of our guests, staff & the wider community at large has to come first. The good news is that all tickets will automatically be valid for next year’s event and if you already have your ticket, you do not have to do anything to reserve your place at ArcTanGent 2021. Your existing ticket is now your ticket to 2021. Please read the whole statement here for more details. As a small business that’s been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, we really need as many people as possible to roll their tickets to next year. We’ll be in touch soon with all the news on how we're going to make ATG 2021 the best year yet, but until then - stay home, stay safe & we look forward to partying with you in a field next August.
Love and (virtual) hugs from all at ARCTANGENT.”
