Sadly, like literally every other festival within the UK, ArcTanGent Festival 2020 will not be going ahead this month. But fear not, the world’s premiere math-rock, post-rock and noise-rock festival will not be totally absent from our calendars this year. Today the festival has announced ATG TV, a digital event featuring live streamed sets, interviews, takeovers and much more from festival favourites all weekend long.
Taking place between Thursday 20th – Saturday 22nd August on both Facebook and Instagram, ATG TV is set to encapsulate all the contemporary madness that makes the unique festival so great – all without the sodding rain too.
Whilst exact details are set to come in the following days, Thursday will see full band live streamed sets from the enigmatic Phoxjaw, doomgazers Sugar Horse and the atmospheric post-rock collective Pijn. Following this, Friday will see Facebook being taken over by Pelagic Records, with the label showcasing content from their roster including The Ocean, Bear, Hypo5e, Årabot and tons more.
Saturday will see Holy Roar Records invading their social media with content from Antethic, MØL, Rolo Tomassi, Slow Crush and many more. On top of this, ArcTanGent’s Instagram is set to see content and live sets from artists such as God Alone, The Guru Guru, AK/DK, Coldbones, A. A. Williams, Elephant Tree, Future Of The Left, FES and loads of other brilliant talent across the weekend.
ATG TV follows on from the digital version of it’s sister festival 2000 Trees last month, which saw content from artists such as Enter Shikari, Orchards, Thrice, Jimmy Eat World, Jamie Lenman and Haggard Cat being streamed on social media. If you logged in for that you’ll already know how massive this is set to be.
The confirmation of ATG TV follows on from the announcement of Opeth being the first headliner for ArcTanGent 2021. Tickets for ArcTanGent 2021 are on sale now and you can catch ATG TV on Facebook and Instagram. See the full line-up for ATG TV below and keep your eyes peeled for the weekend schedule.
