From humble origins to becoming one of the biggest events in the hardcore calendar, Outbreak Festival will be returning next year with a colossal lineup in celebration of it’s tenth anniversary alongside moving to a new venue in Manchester.
Taking place at it’s new home of Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester, next year’s edition of Outbreak will see none other than Knocked Loose headlining. Set to headline Friday night, their headline slot will be the Kentucky bruisers first appearance at the festival and follows on from the release of the group’s second long-play A Different Shade Of Blue.
Whilst the two final headliners are still set to be announced, also confirmed are NYHC legends Madball, youth crew pioneers Youth Of Today, the all conquering Xibalba, the freshly renamed Vien.FM and grunge-gazers Narrow Head. Also confirmed in today’s obscene announcement are All Out War, Higher Power, Fiddlehead, Incendiary, Sanction, Renounced, Broken Teeth, Drain, Young Guv and High Vis. Massive.
Playing host to some of the best homegrown talent from the global hardcore, beatdown and classic metalcore scene, Outbreak Festival has not just become one the most crucial hardcore orientated independent events but the binding element of an inclusive community. Originally taking place in Sheffield prior to moving to the Leeds' Canal Mill, whilst the festival’s move to the 4500 max capacity Bowlers Centre may be huge change, next year’s event will see the festival play host to some new surprises and the same intimate atmosphere.
“Our aim was always to put something together to really show the diversity within the hardcore punk community.” Says the Outbreak team. “This is a festival for everyone, a place where people can feel welcomed, allowed to express themselves however they want, meet like minded people and above all have fun. This was our goal from the start and 10 years on we are still living by this."
Outbreak Festival 2021 takes place at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Manchester, between the 25th and 27th June 2021. More artists are set to be announced soon, tickets are on sale Wednesday 2nd September at 9am. For tickets and more info, check the Outbreak Festival website.
