The globally renowned premiere festival of all things post, math, experimental and groundbreaking, ArcTanGent has just announced the vast majority of next year’s lineup and brace yourselves as it’s something else.
Following on from the previously announced Saturday night headliner of Opeth is follow festival headliner Cult Of Luna. One of the most requested bands year on year, the announcement comes following both the release of last year’s A Dawn To Fear and their showstopping set at the ArcTanGent 2019, with their Thursday headline set to be something completely engulfing and awe-inspiring.
Whereas as Friday’s headliner is still to be announced, ArcTanGent 2021 is shaping up to be the festival’s biggest event thus far. Also joining the two headliners are a plethora of phenomenal talent, including MONO, Alcest, Caspian, Oathbreaker, Amenra, Tesseract, A.A Williams, Intervals, Leprous, The Locust, Svalbard, Jamie Lenman, Enslaved, Bell Witch, Car Bomb and almost a countless amount of others colossal names
Of course, in true vein of the festival, next year’s event will host some of the best emerging talent within the realms of all things experimental. Set to represent the underground at Fernhill Farm next year is the likes of God Alone, Fall Of Messiah, FES, Bicurious, Cambamboo, Land Wars, Last Hyena, Anthethic, VASA, Mountain Caller and an absurd amount of other phenomenal artists well worth your time and attention.
If that wasn’t all, ArcTanGent is set to play host some surprises and farewells next year. Both Talons and Raketkanon are scheduled to play their final UK sets at ArcTanGent next year, with ArcTanGent 2011 set to be Talons’ final ever live performance. In slightly more positive news, the festival will see the magnificent live return of Maybeshewill, the first set in years from Youthmovies and unprecedented rare sets from both Down I Go and Chinese Football. Like originally planned for this year, Rolo Tomassi will also be playing two exercises sets throughout the weekend, performing both Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It and Grievances in full.
Finally, in a similar fashion to it’s sister festival 2000 Trees, ArcTanGent 2021 will see live music on the Wednesday night for the first time, with promotion agency Effigy curating the evening. Set to be a demonstration of the best talent from the South West, early arrivals will be greeted by sets from The St. Pierre Snake Invasion, Memory Of Elephants, Phoxjaw, Sugar Horse, Luo, Poisonous Birds, Modern Rituals, Ogives Big Band and even more on the first night of the festival. Massive.
