Introducing… Pay The Man

Pay The Man is the musical project of Kyle David Smith based in Bridgend, Wales. The Solo Acoustic Project was formed in 2016 as a means to continue gigging after the indefinite hiatus of Kyles previous band Caesars Rome. Since then he has worked hard to make sure Pay The Man was added to any bill in the welsh music scene, even playing a few tours. However, the project had felt something was missing in order for the project to stand out. This was achieved with the help of Illustrator and friend Emma Fairbrother with the creation of the “Coin Kid” cartoon character. What once started out as a request for a T-shirt design had escalated to a musical concept focused on the character visually to accompany the music and broaden more horizons. No one says it better than Kyle himself so check out the behind the scenes and deep dive into the song, design and video via the link here -> Pay The Man has performed in numerous venues whilst constantly writing new material. Pay The Man’s newest single is a first for the project as it not only features a full band performance, it’s debut music video is a fully animated video featuring the projects “Coin Kid” Character. “The Busker” is also available to stream on Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Google Play and Deezer. You can watch the video for “The Busker” below: Pay The Man will also be supporting the mighty Funeral For A Friend on one of their very special shows on the 28th October in support of Stuart Brothers with all proceeds going to Stuarts family.
