The second single to be taken from Urzah’s upcoming new LP The Scorching Gaze – released May 3rd via APF Records – ‘Of Decay’ is so damn volcanic it’s surprising Tommy Lee Jones isn’t trying to save people from it. A track that see’s the Bristolian quartet marring monolithic riffs in the hulking key of Urne with the viscous atmosphere and immediate haste of acts such as Acid Throne and Tuskar, the single is a pyroclastic flow of riffs and post-metal orientated dynamism, one perfect for any fans of the bands aforementioned or those who just want their face seared off. Those who will have seen the band previously scene stalwarts such as Ohhms, Dopelord and even Bongzilla will know what to anticipate here, but for those new to Urzah, this an introduction most intense and brilliant.
