Sunday Best

This London based group deliver brutal honesty as they grapple with death, bigotry, divinity, society and the mess of modern selfhood. The topics may be heavy, but it comes packaged in dreamy soaked riffs and soaring vocals.
Fresh from packing out rooms snagging support slots with Love Is Noise and Happydaze, and tearing up stages from Multitude to Decolonise Fest, they’re fast carving their own corner in the chaos. Their debut single Past Tense also managed to clock thousands of streams and sparked buzz on both sides of the Atlantic. Sunday Best are a emotional moment of reflection amongst the moshing.
Arkangel
Friday headliners Arkangel are the kind of band won’t just kick the weekend off, they will punch it square in the jaw. Founded in 1997, the Belgian metalcore/hardcore legends have spent decades perfecting their aggressive riffs and thrash tinged drumwork. Fuelled by unfiltered ferocity, Arkangel are almost guaranteed to ignite the wildest pits of the entire weekend. Their live presence is nothing short of brutal, bringing chuggy breakdowns, razor-edged guitar assaults, and a frontman who commands a gig like a moshpit general. If you’re seeking unfiltered aggression and cathartic chaos, Arkangel will deliver it in abundance.
Break Them
Founded in sunny Peterborough, this hardcore quartet come out swinging at every live show. Hot off their August EP release, Ultra-Violence, this band let you know that they are here to get the pit moving and the keep innocent bystanders entertained in equal measure.
Playing on the Friday of Reality Unfolds, Break Them are sure to attract a crowd of die hard fans, who are more than used to hearing their rendition of ‘Davidian’ (a cover of the song by metal legends Machine Head). Also, expect the lead singer, Tom, to get involved in the pit as he encourages all to let loose. It’s very hard to not get whipped up into the chaos, definitely worth rushing out of work for!
Believe In Nothing
Saturday’s largely hardcore line up pauses for attendees to roll around in the sludge and filth with Eastbourne’s very own Believe In Nothing. Mixing up the genres, this noise/sludge four piece bring the heavy, ensuring the audience leave with rattled bones and bleeding ears.
Fresh from releasing their very atmospheric, extremely weighty debut album Rot, Believe In Nothing will be looking to impress and showcase their proudest work. Already drumming up an impressive set of gigs to date, they have shared stages with KULK, Mastiff, Mizmor, WODE, Final Dose, Healing Wound, Harrowed, Death Goals, Troy The Band, Black Groove, Black Shape, Blood Gutter, The Defamation Project, Mortal Karcass, Droop, Grandad, Pascacoula and more. A new band who already have the live experience of much more established artists, they are set to impress.
Negative Frame
After a legendary set at the first Reality Unfolds in 2023, and having now toured with the likes of Power Trip, Guilt Trip and Desolated, Negative Frame return to the fest. The London based metallic hardcore band have risen through the ranks in recent years and it’s not hard to see why. Their performances are filled with visceral rage and sweaty headbanging, leaving it all out on the stage every time.
Negative Frame recently expanded their sound, adding a second guitarist, so expect a meatier, even heavier sound full of rage. UK DIY heavy music at its best.
