South Welsh Alt Rockers Glass Heart will be dropping their brand new single ‘Better Off This Way’ tomorrow. The anthem is a sign of positivity and hope, a revelation and understanding following the journey we all go through in the face of grief. Following on from the release of the band’s single’s collection ‘In Opposite’ they have received a fantastic array of positive reception and a wealth of streams that has propelled them into the mixing pot of the ever-expanding alternative rock scene. The single boasts a beautiful blend of the bands usual tropes including a stripped back verse and a ballad-esque chorus that have become somewhat signature to Glass Heart. A few screams over the bridge section and into the last 30 seconds that provides great contrast on the final chorus with the cleans kicking back in and dual vocals to see it out. The song almost feels like a staple Glass Heart track even after a couple of listens. Glass Heart do seem to have made a shift in the message they are portraying and ‘Better Off This Way’ marks the beginning of this. The band say that the song talks about the sign of a new beginning, in the end of pain, in the wake of trauma. It is a change in tone for the band putting out a positive message of realisation that there is more to life and that things are about to get better. The band promise that this single marks the first piece of a much larger puzzle and promise further pieces later in the year. Exciting indeed!
