Immersed Festival Announces Digital Return For 2021!

Potentially one of the very few festivals that actually took place last year, Cardiff’s Immersed Festival is returning once again this year in an immersive digital format this very weekend. Curated and organised by students of the University of South Wales in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust and the Save Our Venues campaign, Immersed Festival 2021 will take place between the 29th – 31st January to host some of the best talent from Cardiff’s renowned music scene. Friday’s running will see the festival promoting the diversity of the urban scene that the city is host to, with the Unity stage seeing artists such as Mace The Great, Skunkadelic and Dirty Alex streaming from the CULTVR Lab and is also set to feature a masterclass from producer High Contrast and DJ sets from a range of in demand artists. Saturday is set to see acts such as Telgate, Clwb Fuzz and many more streaming live from venues such as Fuel, The Tramshed and Clwb Ifor Bach in support of the Save Our Venues and We Make Events campaigns. With the festival continuing to raise awareness to the plight the live music industry is continuing to face amidst the pandemic, Saturday is also set to feature performances from Chroma, Nightlives and Bloom!, our podcast sponsor DJ Streobrain and many more across the day. The final day is set to see a takeover from Libertino Records and cosy intimate performances from a range of Immersed alumni, acts from USW and more. Despite the festival not being able to take place in a physical format, this year’s event is set to ensure the longevity of this much beloved event.
