Bossk, Covet, Heriot, Jamie Lenman and 12 More Bands Announced For ArcTanGent Festival 2022!

March 25, 2022|NEWS

ArcTanGent, already one of the UK's premiere rock and metal festivals for those wanting something a little more off-piste, have added a whopping 16 bands to their line-up.

Joining already-announced headliners Opeth and Cult Of Luna, as well as prog metal luminaries TesseracT, avant-garde black metallers Zeal & Ardor and another of post-metal’s finest, Amenra, are some of alternative music’s finest up-and-comers and some ATG favourites.

The just-announced Jamie Lenman says, “I love coming to ATG and letting the weirdness out. Every direction you step in, you hear a new sound coming from one of the tents – and rest assured I’ll be bringing some new sounds myself this year. Can’t wait!”

Math-rockers Covet have also been announced for the bill and had this to say of their announcement: It’s super special to be able to come back to play in the UK and we are elated that festivals are a thing again! Props to ArcTanGent for bringing a bunch of niche music communities together for one hell of a lineup. Grateful to be a part of it all.”

Joining them will be Rhode Island two-piece Lightning Bolt, one of the most critically-acclaimed and well-loved bands in noise and art rock; post-metal/stoner troupe Bossk whose latest album Migration earned places on many year end lists last year, as well as Nottingham 5-piece Palm Reader, whose 2020 album Sleepless is widely regarded as one of the last few years’ best works.

Not only that, but fast-rising sludgey, hardcore metallers Heriot will be bringing their unique brand of sonic savagery to the festival, and Skin Failure (featuring Will Gardner and Dave Larkin formerly of much-missed Black Peaks) will make their first ever performance.

Not only that but there’s the phenomenal synth rock Zetra, dreampop/shoegazers Graywave, sludge metallers Tuskar and many, many more. Also joining the ranks today are Thank You Scientist, DVNE, Blanket, El Moono, Ithaca and Rubbing.

Taking place at Fernhill Farm, Bristol, ArcTanGent has swiftly become of the most vital events within the global contemporary rock scene, with the festival playing host to some of the finest names in math, post, progressive and avant garde rock and metal. Of course, given the calibre of the lineup it’s no surprise that this year’s edition of the festival is already shaping up to be a complete sell out, with some ticket types having already been completely depleted. The remaining tickets and additional information can be found here, and see the full lineup thus far below.
